Master of Ceremonies

Having a great DJ who can play a variety of songs is only half the equation when it comes to great wedding entertainment.  Having a Master of Ceremonies (MC) who will act as your host, greeting your guests and helping them to feel comfortable and welcome is the other half.  Your Master of Ceremonies lets your guests know what is happening and when,  He or she will coordinate with your venue, your photographer, and your videographer to create smooth transitions from your introductions to your last dance.

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine with me:  Your photos are finished and you have arrived at your reception location.  The staff at the venue is scurrying about getting dinner ready.  The guy that you hired to play music hasn't a clue you have even arrived.  Your maid of honor rushes in to let him know you are ready to be introduced.  He fumbles around and sort of gets the attention of everyone before he half heartedly announces that the bride and groom have arrived.  Say What!  He didn't even announce you by name.

Let's try this again.  You've arrived.  Your DJ/MC greets you at the door and congratulates you on your newly married status.  He might even hand you a glass of water, which until that moment you didn't even realize you desperately needed.  He offers you a moment to freshen up while he prepares your guests for your grand entrance.  The doors to the reception hall open,  the music is trumpeting your arrival, your DJ/MC announces you by name and your guests are wildly cheering.

But it doesn't end there.  Throughout the rest of the evening your DJ/MC keeps everything flowing smoothly.  He welcomes your guests to the dance floor without embarassing or harrassing them.  Your friends tell you how wonderful it was to know when the cake cutting was going to be because they knew they had enough time to slip out for a cigarette, visit the ladies room, or change the baby's diaper.  And you didn't need to worry about a thing!   You have a choice.  Which kind of wedding day will you have?
